Get out and see the Mojave Desert in high end off road buggies designed to get you where the interesting things are. You may not realize that you are living in the middle of one of the most incredible areas the desert can offer. From deep canyons and old ghost mines, to ancient Indian Petro glyphs, this will be a trip you are never going to forget!

Tours:

Inscription Canyon Tour

A 100 mile off-road tour from Outdoor Recreation through Black Mountain range stopping at the historical Indian petro glyphs at Inscription Canyon. Return via the other side of Black Mountain, passing by Harper dry lake bed to visit scenic Rainbow Basin State Park. A detour through the Calico Mountain range brings the tour to two nostalgic historic desert mountain cabins before returning back home.

Calico Tour

Discover the historic and nostalgic Calico Mountains where prospectors came from thousands of miles to mine the silver rich mountain range. Now abandoned, many of the mines are accessible to explore along with many other fascinating sights.

Big Bear Tour

See Big Bear the way most don’t get the opportunity –through the woods and over scenic off road terrain. Big Bear holds many secrets that only the nature minded can appreciate. From beautiful landscapes to incredible events that happen only in the wild. You will get the opportunity to Discover the Big Bear Mountains like you never thought possible.

Storage Unit & RV Park Rentals

Outdoor Recreation offers storage units and RV storage/park at monthly and daily prices.

Self Storage

156 Self-Storage Containers. These containers are not climate controlled. No flammable, explosive, acidic, caustic materials or materials known to be a carcinogen are allowed in the containers. The storages are located inside the RV storage lot and gated with key code access and video surveillance.

RV/Vessel Storage

210 spaces available for campers, trailers and/or recreational vehicles. Personal-Owned-Vehicle (POV) spaces are very limited and only allowed in the upper section of the lot. The RV storage area is gated with key code access and video surveillance.

Fort Irwin RV Park

87 spaces. Services include water and sewer hookups, as well as 20/30/50 amp power pedestals; each space has a table and a grill, along with 24hr bathroom/shower access and 24hr laundry facility access, and community center full kitchen, dining area, and game lounge area access during operational hours. Please contact Outdoor Recreation for rates and availability. 

RV Park Waiting list: When in "Full Status", any patron requesting to utilize the RV Park will be placed on a wait list for the next available space. When a space opens up, Outdoor Recreation will call patrons starting with the first patron on the waiting list to offer availability.

Open Track Day

Open to the community. Join Outdoor Recreation for an open track day. Bring your own Razor, ATV, and Dirt bikes for $10 per person for a thrilling day of off-road adventures. For those without their own Off-Highway Vehicle, Outdoor Recreation will offer rentals for $25 hour increments per person on a first-come, first-served basis. Participants are required to wear over the ankle/ closed toed shoes, long sleeve shirts and pants. Helmets must securely fit participants and personal helmets must be DOT certified. Check In: 0800 Event time: 0900-1500 Outdoor Recreation OHV tracks are located on Nasa road, just off Fort Irwin Road. To get there, drive on Fort Irwin Rd towards the gate. Before you reach the gate, you will see NASA road, take a right on NASA road. The OHV tracks are located on the righthand side of NASA road.
