Lending Limits: Books, audio books, 3 weeks – 4 audio books. DVD- 7 day, 7 day- limit 3 per family. If items are not returned patrons will be unable to clear post when PCSing.
Library Account Policy: Library accounts are for Soldiers, their families, Veterans, and anyone working on Fort Irwin with either an installation pass or with Department of Defense identification.
Library Check-Out Policy: All members of a family with an ID may obtain an account. All members are linked to one family account 30 books total per account: 3 movies and audio books per family account.

Through the Post Library you have access to thousands of E-books and Audio Books for FREE. Check out http://army.lib.overdrive.com for a list of all that we have to offer. These books can be downloaded to your phone, computer, iPad, Kindle, and more!! Just come into the library to create your account and we will set you up with an online account and walk you through the steps to begin downloaded from home.
- Story Time

Currently unavailable- Story time is on Wednesday and Friday from 10:00 a.m.-11:00 a.m. All toddlers and preschoolers are welcome at the Library for Story Time. During Story Time your child will listen to stories, sing songs, play games, and make crafts for you to take home.
- Family Day

Currently unavailable- Once a month take some time out with your family to celebrate the joy of just being together. Each Family Day is based off of a different theme and will include stories, games, and crafts that can be done as a family. See our events calendar for the next Family Day!

Fort Irwin Post Library has a variety of of popular books and reference materials both in print and online. The library offers current best selling fiction and non-fiction, classic literature, audio books, DVDs, magazines and newspapers. Registered borrowers may download e-books and audio books. Fort Irwin Library has something for every age and interest including a children's library and a young adult collection. Public computers are available for authorized library patrons to use the internet or use MS Office applications. Online databases have dozens of resources such as encyclopedias, journal articles, automobile repair manuals, college prep tests, and language learning modules. The library has Wi-Fi for those to bring in their laptops or other mobile devices.
