Is your organization, FRG, private organization or Unit interested in scheduling an instructor for your group? Instructors may conduct classes for specific groups or Unit PT. Requests can be made by providing a memorandum to Memorial Fitness Center. Scheduling is based on instructor availability and location availability. Location options are Memorial Fitness Center, Memorial Fitness Tennis Courts (outdoors), and The Box Fitness.

Dress code policy IAW Fort Irwin USAG #14
Dress Code Policy:
Soldiers in ACUs with clean boots are allowed to utilize the fitness facilities (cover and top removed).
IAW NTC Installation Policy: all active duty soldiers must be in PT uniform in order to utilize the fitness facility.
All others must be in Fitness Apparel
- Sweats, jerseys,shorts or spandex wear
- Athletic shoes, tennis shoes, five-finger-glove style shoe
What's Prohibited?
- Boots are NOT authorized while utilizing cardio equipment (upright & recumbent bikes, treadmills, cross trainers, ellipticals, stair steppers & stair mills, AMTs, Jacob’s Ladder)
- Clothing with obscene, slanderous, drug paraphernalia or related statements, vulgar words or drawings, sexually suggestive, revealing of private areas (midriff, buttocks, see through clothing, etc.), or clothing which makes disparaging comments concerning the military and the United States government is prohibited.
- Bare feet, open toe shoes, sandals, slippers, etc. are not appropriate fitness footwear and are NOT authorized in workout areas.
Those not in compliance with fitness facility dress code requirements will be asked to leave.
- Children

No one under the age of 16 years is permitted in the facility without a parent or guardian, or without being a participant in a special program, organized and conducted by the Child, Youth and School Services, schools, or other authorized youth organization.
Children 12 years old and under are not authorized to use mechanical cardiovascular equipment, or free weight room. No child under the age of 16 years old is permitted to use the sauna at anytime. Children 12 and under are not permitted to participate in Group Fitness classes. For instructional classes for youth, contact SKIES Unlimited at 760-380-7751.
Youth ages 13-15 may utilize fitness facilities, however, they must be actively participating in the same activity as the parent or guardian at ALL times, to include Group Fitness Classes.
Children of kindergarten age and older will use gender appropriate showers, locker rooms, and bathrooms.
- Security

It is the patron's responsibility to secure their valuables while utilizing Memorial Fitness Center. Family and MWR will not be held responsible for patrons' property. Please bring your own lock for lockers*. Staff may not safe guard personal property.
*Lockers are for daily use only. Please do not leave your belongings overnight.
Memorial Fitness Center is a state-of-the-art fitness facility featuring all the latest equipment and machines, including a cardio theater system, surround sound and big screen TVs.
This facility was renovated in 2008 to better serve the fitness needs of the Fort Irwin Community. In addition to strength training and cardio equipment machines, Memorial Fitness also offers a variety of other services to include the following:
Fitness Center is open to Active-Duty Service Members and Families, Retirees and Family Members, DoD APF/NAF civilian employees, DoD civilian employees, DoD contractors, and etc.
